Plans and Billing

Build and test your award program for free, then upgrade your workspace when you're ready to go live. Flat $1,995/year, no per-program billing, zero commission.

AwardKit billing is workspace-level: each workspace either has no subscription (build mode) or an active Pro subscription. There's no per-program billing and no commission on entry fees.

How pricing works

Building is free and unlimited. Create as many programs, categories, entry forms, judging rounds, and test entries as you like, with no caps and no time limit. You pay only when you take a program live and open real submissions.

PlanPriceWhat it covers
Free$0Build and test your whole program end-to-end, unlimited everything
Pro$1,995/yearTake programs live: unlimited live programs across your workspace

One flat price covers your whole organization. There are no per-program fees, no per-seat fees, and no entry limits.

For larger or custom needs (multi-program orgs with bespoke contracts), an Enterprise tier is available. Contact support@awardkit.io to discuss.

Why no commission on entry fees

Most platforms in our space take a cut of every entry fee on top of the subscription. AwardKit doesn't.

We use Stripe Connect so entry fees flow directly to your Stripe account. AwardKit never touches the money. Stripe's standard processing fees apply (2.9% + $0.30 in the US), and that's it.

This matters at scale. A program with 400 entries at $250/entry collects $100,000 in entry fees. A 5% platform commission would be $5,000. With AwardKit, your subscription is a flat $1,995/year and the commission is zero.

Upgrading

From Workspace settings → Billing, click Upgrade. We use Stripe Checkout, so you'll enter your card and confirm the plan. The change is instant: you can take programs live right after the upgrade.

Downgrading or canceling

You can downgrade or cancel at any time from Workspace settings → Billing. Pro features remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Past-due payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe automatically retries for up to two weeks. During that time you keep full Pro access (no surprise downgrades during a busy program). If retries fail, the workspace drops back to build mode and you'll need to update your payment method to restore Pro access.
