Organizations

Invite teammates, manage roles, and organize multiple programs under a shared organization.

Your organization is your home on AwardKit. All your programs live inside it, and your teammates have access based on their role.

Creating an organization

Your first organization is created automatically when you sign up. Most customers only need one. If you run unrelated programs (for example, a parent organization that includes a chamber of commerce and a separate trade publication), create a separate organization for each.

Inviting teammates

From Organization settings, click Invite member, enter their email, and pick a role:

  • Owner: full control, including billing and deleting the organization
  • Admin: full control over programs and members but cannot delete the organization
  • Member: can collaborate on programs in the organization

Invitees get an email with a sign-up link. They can use email or Google to sign in.

Organization settings

Organization settings include:

  • Name and logo: shown across the dashboard and on program pages
  • Members: invite, remove, change roles
  • Programs: archive, restore, or delete the programs in your organization
  • Billing: subscription plan, payment method, invoices, and usage limits (see billing)
  • Payments (Stripe Connect): where entry fees are paid out (see Stripe Connect setup)

Managing programs

The Programs page in organization settings lists every program in the organization, where you archive, restore, and delete them.

  • Archive a program once its cycle is complete to free up capacity on your plan and keep your dashboard tidy. Archived programs are read-only: they no longer accept entries, but historical data, scores, and certificates remain accessible.
  • Restore an archived program at any time to reopen it.
  • Delete permanently removes a program and all its data. This is irreversible, so archive instead if you might need the data later. Deleting is most useful for clearing out draft programs you never launched.

Everything else a program needs lives next to the work it affects: dates and branding on Entrant pages, prize currency and fees on Categories, and judging on Judging.

Switching organizations

If you belong to multiple organizations, switch between them from the organization switcher in the top-left of the dashboard.
